Description

A gentle micro-peeling facial cleanser that exfoliates and cleanses to reveal a more even skin tone while visibly reducing dark spots. Powered by Melasyl (exclusive LRP ingredient), Niacinamide and PHA. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) helps visibly fade skin discoloration; the cleanser removes dirt and impurities without drying and exfoliates to reveal a more even skin tone.

How to use

Wet skin and work cleanser into a lather, rinse and pat dry. Use with Mela B3 Serum AM & PM, and Mela B3 UV AM.

Note — fragrance discrepancy: Amazon labels this product "Fragrance Free", but the captured INCI ends with PARFUM / FRAGRANCE and Skinsort flags "Not Fragrance-free (Contains Fragrance: 1 ingredient, Parfum)". The product contains fragrance despite the Amazon scent label — relevant for users avoiding fragrance.

2. Product Rating

4.6 / 5

★★★★★ — 5,312 global ratings (Amazon US)

Skinsort community: 2.7 · 7 reviews · no price tier shown

3. Product Ingredients

The ingredient analysis merges the Skinsort community table (25 ingredients, INCI order, with comedogenic / irritancy ratings where rated) with the INCI list printed on the Amazon listing (which agrees). COSDNA could not be reached for an independent cross-check (see Methodology).

3.1 Ingredient function distribution

3.2 Claim matrix (“What’s inside”)

3.3 Risk-level classification

Five ingredients carry a published comedogenic and/or irritancy rating; twenty are unrated in the source database. The formula triggers four "claim not met" flags, including fragrance, fungal-acne, cruelty-free and vegan.

7. What’s Inside — Claim Badges

Beautified from the “What’s inside” claim matrix. Green = claim met, red = claim not met.

Alcohol-free EU-allergen-free Oil-free Paraben-free Silicone-free Sulfate-free Pore-clogger-free Reef-safe Not Fragrance-free (Parfum) Not Cruelty-free Not Fungal-acne-safe (1 flagged) Not Vegan

Notes: Despite Amazon's "Fragrance Free" label, this product is not fragrance-free (contains Parfum). It is also not cruelty-free and not vegan per Skinsort, and is flagged for fungal-acne (one unlikely-trigger ester). Pore-clogger-free and sulfate-free claims are met.

8. Product Images

Real product photos could not be retrieved. Amazon's image CDN and the automated listing capture were bot-walled, and COSDNA / price-history sources were Cloudflare-blocked. No image gallery is displayed; this section documents the limitation.

9. Product Price

The dedicated price-history source was Cloudflare-blocked through every channel, so no historical low / high / average / current series could be transcribed. Only the upstream snapshot price is carried.

Limitations

  1. No data was invented; unavailable fields stated as such.
  2. Live USD price required a US address switch that was blocked; only the snapshot price carried.
  3. COSDNA and the price-history tracker were Cloudflare-blocked; independent risk ratings and historical price trends absent.
  4. Product images could not be retrieved; the image gallery documents the limitation.
  5. Review histogram and full review bodies not exposed; only short previews, no reviewer identity.
  6. Fragrance discrepancy: Amazon "Fragrance Free" label conflicts with INCI (Parfum) and Skinsort flag; flagged explicitly.
